Terrible experience with Teksavvy

-

I was having trouble with my internet service and phone dropping out so I thought I would switch to a smaller, local company offering internet service through my cable connection which had been solid as a rock. I signed up with Teksavvy and between 8 June and 18 July I had 13 drop outs of internet and phone service. I would have to power cycle the cable modem and service would be restored. During this time I contacted support service and they would find nothing wrong. After cancelling the service and returning the equipment I got an email saying I had failed to return the equipment. After I sent them a copy of the Canada Post return notice with tracking number showing delivery to Teksavvy they quit harrassing me. I did have an email from them after i had returned the equipment saying I had a credit balance. After 7 months they sent a notice that I failed to return the phone adapter and were going to turn me over to a collection agency to recoup the cost of the phone adapter. I have no way of proving that I returned the phone adapter so I am going to pay them $56.44 so they don’t turn me over to a collection agency. If you do return equipment to Teksavvy after canceling their service, make sure you take a picture of the equipment in the return box, keep your copy of the return shipping tracking data and download a copy of the delivery notice from Canada Post. Besides having bad service they are great at hounding you.

Really Bad service all around

You overpay for Poor service

You overpay for Poor service. Never get the speed you pay for. Outages all of the time. Poor customer service, always seems that he customer is inconveniencing them. Shite attitudes and sneaky billing practices. I recommend moving over to Acanac.

Internet works, service could be better

-

They had an issue with connecting me. Delayed by a month because they had no technician to send me (yes, 4 weeks past the agreed date – NO INTERNET). Apparently they don’t have their own technician and hire someone local (Rogers/Telus/Shaw)… Those prioritize their own customers and delay 3d party suppliers like TechSavvy. To my big surprise – the supervisor refused to take responsibility for the delay communicating to me something along the line “it happens”. The best they can offer is to refund me for the days I have not been connected, as if that was even negotiable! I don’t think any reputable company can afford itself to leave its customers with no internet for a month and then not take ownership. What else can happen?

Good Service

The service is good. The fiber speed remains consistent, and it is a fiber-to-home connection. The only drawback is that it is currently limited to availability in Chatham-Kent.
